Story of Horti company establishers started many years ago, when Tibor Horti and his father were selling vegetable and fruit via marketplace. Their first company “To i ono” was distribution company for fruit and vegetable. Company owners were not fully happy with only re-selling of the goods, they considered to start production of some food. They identified market gap – lack of good sauerkraut in Slovakia. Only one company in the whole country has produced sauerkraut, so second established company Horti was specialised for sauerkraut production. Later, both companies’ subjects of business was concentrated to Horti. Now they are successful in both activities – distribution of vegetable and fruit and sauerkraut production. Company employs 80 workers.
