Young entrepreneur has discovered cider abroad and together with his brother, he decided to try to produce this in Slovakia unknown drink from apple and pear.
Gabriel Oprendek outlines a development and a strategy of a small family business founded 3 years ago- Opre Ciders. The motivation behind setting up this business lies in his inspiration by ciders abroad and an effort to fill the gap at the Slovak market as no such product was manufactured before in Slovakia. They have started by sampling ciders and analysing the competition and the consumer demand. As far as people according to their survey did not even know what the cider is their initial promotion ought to educate people. Opre Ciders as a brand desires and tries to be unique and unforgettable in order to support further growth, in particular, abroad. Currently, the business permanently only employs two people, him and his brother and seasonal workers at the peak of the production. In the future, they would like to employ someone to take care of the production and marketing and who could think independently and would be very flexible as the working hours depend mainly on the product.
