Mr. Keleny is speaking about way of KELPEK bakery in the field of innovation. They have implemented two important innovations in their company. First innovation was the installation of two furnaces utilising renewable energy source (wooden pellets) for its heating. Such type of equipment was not used in Europe before and are prototypes. One of installed furnaces is rotary furnace, which is even more innovative. Second innovation is in the area of sales - after not best experiences with local supermarkets, they have started the itinerant sale. Necessity of innovation is very well justified, despite failure of some kinds of innovation (maily in the field of product innovations).
The video lesson focuses on the saving energy and money by an innovation of the oven heated up by pellets. The money saved are further invested in the machines to make the physical work easier and to expand the capacity of the bakery. The company always tries to introduce new innovations either with already mentioned expansion of the capacity or new products, which has to be always responsive to the demand in the region, where the price plays a key role. Lastly, he mentions the distribution of products, notably, the street trading in the villages, which makes the product more accessible for older people.
