2.3 The Virtual Tutor
2.3.1 Introduction

The figure of the Virtual Tutor is that of the person (employee of the VET institution) who will support the trainee, who will make the balance of knowledge and basic skills to carry out the position required by the Internship, the definition of the Training Project subject to the Internship. The role of the online tutor in the process of activation and monitoring of the placement in the reference portal is extremely important, because it guarantees the "virtual" presence as a true didactic / organizational manager of the internship and internship activities, although not directly in person the Trainee for the entire duration of the internship. The portal provides that the online tutor in fact answers the questions and concerns of the Trainee and of the company whenever there is a need, both by e-mail and by telephone, offering technical assistance on the activities agreed during the internship. The online tutor will be a facilitator of the path for the achievement of the educational objectives and preparatory to a possible inclusion in the company.
